Art and the *day job*

I informed the ‘day job’ of my Sewin Studio art business today in response to the Working Time Directive. The Working Time Directive is a health and safety measure to monitor hours worked and makes sure ample rest is taken between periods of work. It is the company’s duty to ensure workers manage their periods of rest. For those of you who don’t know, I drive a London Bus at weekends.

Which is the source of inspiration for my oyster card wallets. It is where my art meets the day job. I wanted to create something beautiful, original, sustainable and handmade to offer as a stylish alternative to the corporate plastic one’s available. I am trialling a social shop over here, so please take a peek and tell me what you think.
