‘The only constant in life is change’ which is certainly true for my year so far. There was temporary change when I fractured my arm, which thankfully has healed and now a permanent change is upon me- I’m saying goodbye to the lovely space that has been home to my art making and moving to pastures new. It will be a while before I’m up and running though. It is a time of reflection and decision making, paring down, keeping only the essential tools, equipment and focussing on what is important to me work wise. This is the hard part- seeing all my lovely fabrics, knowing that some of them have to go. But I believe that it is all for the good and my work can only benefit from there being less clutter.
