Rectangles

This rectangle study , pieced improvisationally, has been hand quilted now. Before I bind the edges, I adjusted the bottom left hand corner to add some light and balance.

I am trying to stick to the plan and quilt everything in sight ! (i.e. The small unfinished pieces ) without getting distracted with adjustments and amendments. which is so tempting. After comparing the before and after , I’m still not sure and I need to get this finished.

Are you easily distracted or are you blessed with a single mind ?

  1. Distraction seems to be a constant in my life!
Whilst it can be a depressing shackle, I have also come to recognise, acknowledge and accept it as a creative and constructive force too.
I wouldn’t be who I am without it!
The danger signs for me are when it is combined with avoidance and fear of “getting it wring”
Love your work and the thought provoking question!

  2. Eternally distracted, unless in hyperfocus mood, then I forget to eat 🤣but sew for six hours!

  3. Definitely easily distracted. Have been since I was a kid, my friends usually comment about how easily my mind can wander.
