Here are a few shots of Re:Love#2, the second handbag or purse, as it is known in the US, in the recycled with love series. This is a new theme I am exploring, using colour and pre loved cloth. It has machine quilting and lots of padding to give the bag/purse shape substance and character.

Express Yourself

IT looks like I will have to unpick ‘yourself‘, the white twill cloth is fraying and this is not the look I want. I may even change the font while I’m at it…sometimes when you have invested time and energy, it’s hard to admit the results aren’t working and make the changes…..but once you do…it releases stuck

‘Artist Made’ – Wearable Art

It’s finished! ‘Artist Made’ is neatly glued into the handbag frame and when you peek inside you see the lovely midnight blue satin lining playing off against the dark night velour interior facing. The interior of the bag is as important as the outside don’t you think?

Glueing the Handbag to the Kiss Lock

I’m putting the finishing touches to my wearable art handbag, by glueing fabric edges into the kiss lock purse frame. You glue one side first, wait for it to dry and then the other. You have to settle yourself into the process, easing and edging, starting from oneside of the frame along to the other
