these little rectangles of cloth are starting their life as oyster wallets. they were cut out before I figured the best way to sew them, they have been waiting for some tlc. Now is the time. I have a method of making that can incorporate the rectangles quite well. Now this problem has been sorted

24 Oyster Card Wallets and Thank You

Today I tested nylon thread to sew my recycled plastic bag oyster card wallets. Once over the technical problems, needle breakage, uneven and wobbly stitches  I managed to finish the 24 colourful oyster wallets you see above. Express Yourself: Decided

Instead of unpicking the white letters I added more, which adds a raised dimension and sets the letters in relief. I used a plain weave white cloth and stitched coloured thread to soften the edges. I made a feature of the ‘Y’ using  gingham and a different font , notice how the new yellow stitches

IT looks like I will have to unpick ‘yourself‘, the white twill cloth is fraying and this is not the look I want. I may even change the font while I’m at it…sometimes when you have invested time and energy, it’s hard to admit the results aren’t working and make the changes…..but once you do…it releases stuck
