Love and Loss
I made this quilt top soon after mum died- it’s now been seven years and forever since that january day. I will quilt it now and remember some of her classic sayings- ‘You can do anything you put your mind to’, ‘Just think nice thoughts’-‘Do your best’. I miss her.

Checking out this ,on account of Kevin liking my blog, I came across a drawing tool and made my hand/heart for today. The MFA programme looks interesting as well, makes me want to go back to art school.

Helping hands…healing hands…hands as a source of inspiration…which has prompted a little playing around to update this blog’s appearance…great fun.
Deadlines…don’t work & what I’ve been doing instead……
is trying out reverse applique inspired by this. Using my hand as a motif has led me to make a series of ‘hand’ drawings, and has inspired this for Aaliyah’s quilt It has prompted thought and appreciation for my hands and all the things they do.
